A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #25

We're onto weekly round up #25 and I'm excited that it's June tomorrow.

This week has been a crazy one. We've ripped out the bath and installed a shower and it isn't quite finished yet so it's been quite a difficult week, I've only washed my hair once, had to have washes numerous times a day, and I've been living in my leggings and baggy tops to help so it's been a hectic week. But hopefully that will all be sorted by the end of the weekend and I can finally have a shower which I am so excited about. That was a long winded way of saying that my skin has gone bonkers and has broken out like a biatch, so I ordered a few things to test out and one of those was the REN Classimate Invisible Pores Detox Mask which made my skin so smooth and soft and really helped to deep clean and I love this mask.

The Beauty Protector Hair Oil is something I have been applying numerous times a day to my hair. This stuff smells divine and I just cannot stop smelling my hair. It really smooths and nourishes my hair and doesn't weigh it down, leave my hair looking or feeling oily and greasy and it is just a brilliant hair oil which I have been totally obsessed with.

I've also really been liking this teasing brush which I purchased off Amazon. It's was super cheap and I have been teasing right at the roots just to add some volume and texture and then spraying it to maintain it and I just love how this has made my hair look.

The Maxfactor Face Finity 3 in 1 Foundation has been the one I have mixed in with my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation as it has a slight pinker tone to it and it also provides a touch more coverage which I have needed thanks to the little breakout part I've been having on my chin/whole face area. I just prefer adding a pinker tone foundation in with the NARS as I find that one can be slightly too yellow sometimes and I don't think I can pull off a Simpson-esque skin tone.

The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is something I use every single day but not in the original and recommended way. I found that this was too damp when I applied my foundation with it. It just soaked up too much of the product and didn't provide any coverage and I was quite disappointed with it really. I do really like using a sponge to apply my makeup and have others that I like to use but this one is just too damp even when squeezed out thoroughly and wrapped in a towel. So what I like to do now is use it when it's dry, and use smooth out my foundation that I've applied with a brush beforehand. I also like to use this to blend concealer, and just make sure everything is looking seamless but natural. I'm aware it's supposed to be used damp, similarly to the Beauty Blender, but that just doesn't work for me.

Although I have been loving the Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara recently, I also purchased the Maybelline The Collossal Go Extreme Volume Waterproof Mascara which I have been testing this week and I really like how it makes my lashes look. I've been going for a more natural look as I have been so tired because I haven't been sleeping due to being in a shed load of pain due to putting in a shower in the bathroom I just have not been too worried about putting on some winged liner or whatever. I just smudge the Rimmel Scandaleyes Bronze Eyeliner along my top and bottom lash line, apply this mascara and that's it. Minimal I know but super easy and not much thought or effort needed.

Along with lack of sleep comes with dark circles and although my Maybelline one is doing an amazing job, I have started using the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer over the top and I like how brightening the combination is.

Finally is something I don't think I have ever mentioned on here before, but it is the Badger Cuticle Care which is basically a balm with Shea butter and beeswax along with a load of other amazing things and it just really moisturises and soften cuticles. I have been applying this whilst sat at my desk at least 3 times and I love the smell, I love just massaging it in, and I like how my cuticle have become much softer.

That's it for this weeks round up. Be sure to check out my May Favourites and if you haven't already heard, every week in June is going to be a different theme. This weeks is how to: create your own skincare routine which will give you some information on the products suitable for your skin type, how to find out what skin type you have as well as some tips and things to keep an eye out for in the ingredients lists.
