A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #22

So every week I draft write down the things I am loving that week which then gets put into a weekly round up post. However this week it's been a bit crazy as I've been trying a few new products out and it was also my birthday and so I've got a few bits to show you from there so this week it's quite a long list of things but I'll keep it as short and sweet as possible.

Quickly before we jump into what I've been loving this week. It was my birthday this week and it's always a difficult time due to losing my Nan two days after my birthday 10 years ago and I miss her everyday. But I wanted to say thank you to my friends and family who are there for me, who gave me some lovely gifts and who put up with me when I'm moaning or in pain or upset or just generally being a grump. So thank you, you know who you are. Okay now let's start with my fave's this week...

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Siberia is something I had turn up last week and I have been trying it out and I have really enjoyed using it. It's so easy to apply, it's a perfect shade match for me and it's the first NARS product I have tried and so far I'm impressed - the concealer is next on my list. This gives a really nice glow to the skin, nothing crazy dewey and it also has a medium coverage but you can sheer it out or build it up depending on what look you're going for. You will see this appear in some posts over the next week or so and maybe this is my new favourite foundation.
My concealer has never looked so good since purchasing the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I love using the flat side to blend out my concealer under my eyes and to also add a bit more coverage on my cheeks or any redness, and I have found this has just really helped with my concealer looking flawless. I like to use the pointy side to conceal and blend concealer on blemishes amd scars. Love it.
These next products were purchased on a trip to Boots and I had seen lots of review etc and just had to try them and I am really liking them so far. They're the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint & Precision Shaping Pencil + Arch De Triumph Shaper & Highlighter. A review will be up this week or maybe next week so I won't go into too much detail but I have been really looking forward to filling in my brows, experimenting with different shapes, arches, thicknesses etc. so watch this space for product reviews and also maybe a routine/tips.

Aveeno is a brand I have tried a few products from and my mum uses things from the brand on an everyday basis. I have the Positively Radiant Eye Cream which I really like so I thought I would try the Positively Radiant Moisturiser this is the day moisturiser as my Clarins Daily Energizers Cream has all gone, and I must say, I am really enjoying using this. It is quite a thick cream but you can certainly see the glow it gives. The only thing I don't like is the scent but I just hold my breathe when I apply it.

Fashion & Acessories:

A trip to a local retail park was an all to tempting trip and a few purchases were made. My favourite is this necklace. The big, chunky statement necklaces are something I have been getting back into and I just love this, I've worn it pretty much everyday as it goes with anything and is just so beautiful I love it. Plus, it was only £10.00 from George (Asda)
Next is a pair of Fat Face Jeggings that my lovely best friend Dani got me for my birthday. Having quite small and short legs and with my lack of a bum, jeans always tend to be far to baggy and big and not flattering on me and I normally have to go a size down just to get them to fit round my legs. So whilst Dani was off raiding the sales rails (seriously you did not want to get in her way, she was scary) I was admiring these and after I tried them on and nearly had a heart attack thinking I had gone up a size and put on weight, they were actually a really nice fit and I love the colour as I don't have anything like these and they look so jean like and are really comfy and fit well so I am really pleased I now have something that fits properly and makes my bum look actually quite good.

...No? Darn.

Another item I got for my birthday was this necklace with my initial 'S' on it which my lovely brother and sister-in-law bought me and I just love it. I also got some money from some members of the family so I went straight down to Pandora and picked this ring (get it, it's got a daisy on it, picked?) and I just love it. It's the Darling Daisies White Enamel Ring. The next day I went back to get the Clear Cubic Zirconia Heart Ring

Hair Stuff:

Onto hair products now and honestly, I didn't think I would ever put a hair brush into my favourites but this has just changed my hairs life (yep, that makes sense). The Tangle Teezer is a ridiculously overpriced brush and I got this one of eBay for next to nothing and although I haven't tried the tangle teezer, this to me, is just brilliant. I use this on my wet hair and dry hair and this Mane Tamer is The best thing that's happened to my hair in a long time. I have also been loving the Tresemme Dry Shampoo and the Toni & Guy Casual Sculpting Powder. This dry shampoo was re-purchased after I rekindled my love with it when I received it in my Glossybox last month. But I just had to pick it up once I finished the mini size and I'm glad I did. As for the T&G powder, I wanted to try a product like this first as I really want the Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-powder and I didn't know how I would like it but I've really enjoyed this and it gets a big thumbs up. Don't know whether I'll be purchasing the other one though. We'll see.
The Dove Hair Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Leave in Conditioning & Care Spray. Which is just an amazing product. This leaves my hair so soft and shiny and I just cannot believe how amazing it is. I love some of the other things in the hair therapy range from Dove so I think I will have to go and take another look at what they have to offer. Very impressed with this.

That's it for my weekly favourites I knows there's a lot of products in there but it was my birthday so half of the things is from that. I really hope you have enjoyed Drugstore Week on IABT. It's been really good to write about lots of things I love from the drugstore and as you can tell, I got a tad drugstore happy which is what caused for there to be more than one post on numerous days this last week. I just wanted to get them out as part of drugstore week. Surprisingly there's no drugstore products in my weekly round up as I've already shared them in my posts this week. I hope you have found it helpful and please let me know if you have tried any of the products discussed this week or if you plan on picking any up and trying them.

What's your favourite product from the drugstore?
