A Beauty Essential: Top 10 Under £10 Face & Cheek Products

14:00

Day 1 Of drugstore week here on IABT

As part of drugstore week, I thought I would start off with some of my favourite face and cheek products available at amazing prices at the drugstore.

Face:
Starting off with prep, the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base at £9.99 is a brilliant primer and gives a radiant glow to the skin without being overly shimmery. For foundation, the lighter coverage option comes from L'Oreal with the well known and loved True Match Foundation which has an amazing shade range and is perfect for the more oily or dry skin gals. For a heavier coverage option, the Revlon Colourstay Whipped Foundation is my favourite foundation at the minute. This gives amazing coverage, and can be purchased online or some drugstores for around £8.00-£10.00 which is brilliant for such an amazing foundation - however the liquid version is £12.49. Onto concealer and the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is probably the most popular drugstore concealer as it has such an amazing coverage and lasting power and all for just £4.99, plus the shade Fair 1 is perfect for my very pale complexion. Another concealer but with a lighter and more highlighting formula is the Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer at £5.99 which is brilliant for brightening up any dark circles or for a subtle highlight to the skin. Although the packaging is pretty pants, the product inside is really good and I have really got back into using this again. I'm not a huge one for powder really but the Rimmel Stay Matte is another well loved product and for good reason. This comes in at £3.99 and does an amazing job at keeping those oily patches at bay.

Cheeks:
Onto the cheeks now and the Bourjois Bronzing Powder £6.99 is brilliant for warming up the complexion. Onto blush now and the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush £6.99 has been in many drugstore posts and this is just a brilliant cream blush as it is a stunning colour, it gives a nice glow to the cheeks, but it also is so easy to apply and blend that it makes it perfect for beginners. The No 7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Sticks in Rose Blossom and Classic Rose priced at £9.95 is a 2014 launch and these are also a brilliant alternative for those who prefer more creamier blush formulas to add a glow. These are in stick forms and can be applied directly to the cheeks or used with a brush or fingers. These are also so easy to blend and when paired with the No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter also sold for £9.95 you can get as super easy and quick glow to your cheeks.

Thats it for the drugstore face and cheek products, but come back later today for the eyes and lips products, and then everyday this week to see some other drugstore related posts on skincare, makeup and nails. Excited? You should be.

  1. I never got on well with the Bourjois bronzer but everyone always raves about it! I'm loving the match perfection concealer though, the shade I have is a little too light for me so I use it for my under eyes to help brighten! xx

    1. I've been really impressed with the concealer actually. Doesn't cake or look funky under the eyes. The Bourjois bronzer isn't my everyday bronzer of choice but I find it's okay for warming up the complexion slightly. Xx
