A Beauty Essential: Top 10 Under £10 Eye & Lip Products

Day 1 Of drugstore week here on IABT

Following on from the Top 10 Under £10 Drugstore Makeup post earlier today, here is the eyes and lips edition.

Starting off with brows, as I've said previously and as you may have noticed in my posts before, I haven't really been into doing my brows until now, and it's all thanks to this one product. The Maybelline Brow Drama priced at £4.99 has completely changed my thought on doing my eyebrows. I never wanted to do them as I always thought it looked silly on me and I didn't really know how to do them properly so they looked natural, but with the help of this one product, I love doing my brows and feel it really rakes my face and finishes off any look, or can make you look a tad more presentable just by having well groomed brows. The Collection Work The Colour Eye Brow Kit has also made filling in my brows super quick and simple and there's also a clear brow gel to set them in place and this is only £3.99 which is amazing.

Onto the eyes now and they're are so many bloomin' amazing products from the drugstore, some even better than higher end offerings and I am so happy with pretty much all the drugstore eye products I have tried. Starting off with eyeshadow base is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's which you can get for £4.99. These are brilliant to use as a primer/base before you apply any eyeshadow, or just on their own as a wash of colour for a quick and easy look, but these are long lasting, they don't crease, and there are some stunning wearable shades available. The Natural Collection Eyeshadows are a brilliant affordable eyeshadow option and for just £1.99 they are such amazing quality and they're are some beautiful shades. There's some really wearable neutral shades and then for the more colour daring gals, theres something for everyone and they're £1.99, amazing right?
Onto eyeliners and of course, it has to be the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kojal Eyeliner, these have been compared to the likes of Urban Decays 24Hour Eyeliners and they're a fraction of the price at £3.99. There's a brilliant blackest black as well as a nude, and even a blue, purple and green for those who want a pop of colour to bring out their eye colour. But these are very long wearing and although I find they smudge slightly, they're still super easy to apply and clean up if needed. As for liquid liner, although the Maybelline Master Precise makes the application of a wing really simple, the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Liquid Eyeliner for £2.99 is also really easy to apply and is really black so there's no need to go over it to get the intensity, it's just super easy and glides on without dragging on your lid and it lasts all day.
Finally for the eyes is mascara, and my all time favourite is the Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara at the lower end of the mascara price spectrum at £7.99. The brush on this really grabs each lash and boosts the look of your eye and defines the lashes beautiful, plus, it doesn't flake off and it doesn't smudge on me whatsoever. I love this as it gives really brilliant volume and extends the look of my lashes too.

Onto the lips now, and first off is the L'Oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks which I'm not sure if they're the UK version of the Maybelline Colour Elixirs that are over in the states but the L'Oreal ones are just brilliant, not only for the oil formula, price (£8.99) and accessibility but also for the colour range. There are so many nudes, pinks, reds, it really does have a brilliant shade range which has really impressed me and many others who I know that have tried them. The Revlon Colourburst Matte Lip Balms bought for £7.99 are so popular and have a huge hype behind and trust me, they're totally worth it. There are also the Lacquer Balms which I only have one of but these are still really lovely formulas they're just no as long lasting. There are some beautiful colours available, from nudes to bold pinks, oranges and reds and the fact they're so affordable and are brilliant formulas and will last a long time is just incredible for the price.
I also love the Bourjois Shine Edition lipsticks which I don't think I have mentioned on here before, but these are very similar to the Revlon Lip Butters in my opinion as they are very moisturising, glossy and are very sheer but give a nice wash of colour to the lips. These are £7.99 and they have 8 shades available most of which are very pretty and wearable colours.

That's it for my Top 10 Under 10 drugstore products but be sure to check out the other drugstore posts I have done this week and keep an eye out for some more over the next few days. Please let me know if you like having themed weeks on It's a Beauty Thing or whether you prefer just random posts, and if you like me to post everyday or every other day or have a schedule for a few times a week?
