A Beauty Chat: What's On My Face #8

Here is one of my spring looks that has been well worn over the last few weeks and with the purple on the lower lash line, that pop of colour pulls everything together. I love it.

The primer combo for this changes but the most used and featured in numerous posts during Spring week is the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base which gives a fresh and radiant glow to the complexion and the Benefit Porefessional is the perfect option to keep makeup in place all day, and smooth over problematic areas.
I wanted to go for something lighter on the skin so I started with the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream to even out my skin tone. Then to conceal dark circles I use a combination of the Benefit Erase Paste and the Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer and then for blemishes I use the M.A.C. studio Finish Concealer. Then for foundation, I go in with the Bare Minerals Original Foundation for some extra coverage.
With summer fast approaching, it seems necessary to warm up my skin slightly by using The Body Shop Honey Bronzer. I use a light hand as I don't want a heavy contour as the blusher I have been wearing everyday for the last few weeks or so, needs to be my main cheek product. That is the M.A.C. Powder Blush in Well Dressed which I feel gives the perfect, natural pink flush to the cheeks, and I have been totally obsessed with this.
I finish the complexion off with a swipe of the No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter to give a natural glow to the cheeks and any other places you want highlighted like the Cupid's bow, bridge of the nose.
A light dusting of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder to keep everything in place and it's onto the eyes.

As you may (or may not) know, I have been really in to doing my brows. I start by using a matte brown shade like the one from this Beauty UK Brow Palette which I picked up from Amazon as I wanted a palette that can be used on the brows, or even as an eyeshadow and it's nice and compact. Once I've filled in any sparse bits I go over them and set in place with the Maybelline Brow Drama. I go for a natural brow at the minute, as going straight into a bold brow just doesn't look right. But so far I am loving these.

First for eyes, I use this Vivo Pearl Eyeshadow in Pale Gold all over the lid and then it's time for winged liner. For this, possibly the easiest eyeliner to use is the Maybelline Master Precise Liner as it has a super long marker tip so it's easy to control and gets close to the lash line. I then use the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kojal Waterproof Eyeliner in Purple and smudge it along the lower lash line. This gives a pop of colour which is subtle enough for anyone who is like me and doesn't wear colour on their eyes. Then with some lashings of mascara and a quick touch up with a black liner to make sure there's no gaps in the lashes or liner and it's as easy as that.

For lips, I simply dab the Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in Make Me Blush onto the lips very lightly. I don't want a full on opaque bold lip look for this, just enough to stain the lips and give a little bit of colour without going too bold.

I hope you liked this look and please let me know what you think to wearing a purple eyeliner. If you would like to see some more looks using this or any other coloured eye products then please let me know.
