A Beauty Chat: The Makeup Bag #7 The Neutral Edition

A pretty simple, neutral look for you today, using some different products I believe I haven't mentioned at all on IABT or not in a while at least, so please let me know if you have tried any of them, and I hope you like this look.

Starting with the complexion I've been getting back into using the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch on the centre of my face and then the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for an added glow.

Onto base, and there's a new, perfect skin perfector in town. The NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation mixed together are the perfect shade. The Rimmel offering is far too pink for my skin and although the NARS SG is okay, it is a tad to yellow for my liking so I mix these together and voila. For concealer, I am addicted to the Maybelline Instant Dark Circle Eraser in Brightening as it does exactly that. It's bloomin marvellous. Brightening done, it's time for a touch of highlighting on the face and for this, my new fave is the Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Highlighter & Concealer. Perfect highlight shade, perfect light weight consistency to not crease and perfect for everyday, and adding a subtle highlight to the complexion.

Onto those cheeks and I have started using the Soap & Glory Bronzing Powder from this Christmas palette and I've been really liking how it looks. Then because I can't help but add a little bit of a flush, it's back to the beautiful No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush in Classic Rose then a swipe of the Instant Highlighter and it's like a slice of heaven on the cheeks.

Of course it's time for the brows and the Archery Pencil Sculpting Precision Shaper Thingy Ma Jig (yep that's the technical name for it) has been my brow pencil of choice since I purchased it a few weeks ago and I have been loving it. I just create a soft look with my brows so making sure there's no harsh lines and that it all just blends together and there's no sparse areas. I also use the highlighter end of the Brow De Triumph for the brow bone and also the inner corner of the eye and bottom waterline. Love. It.

For eyes it's very simple. Although I've been rocking the winged liner look a lot recently, I also like this one too. I apply a little bit of the The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer all over the lid as it's such a beautiful champagne colour which gives a really nice sheen to the lids. I then take some of the NYX Eyeshadow in Dallas through the crease, and using the Rimmel Scandaleyes Bronze Eyeliner I run this along my top lash line and smudge it along, then apply again to build up the colour. I also run a tiny bit along the bottom lash line for some definition but nothing too heavy. Then, using the Maxfactor False Lash Effect I then build up the volume on my lashes.

It's nude time. Using the Soap & Glory Lipstick in The Missing Pink I just apply this and then blend it in with my fingers for a softer outline. I also like to add Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector for a bit of nourishment and shine. Plus, I love the taste and smell.

I hope you liked this look and hopefully it was a little different than some of the other ones I've done. Please let me know what your favourite products are for a very neutral look. Thanks for reading guys :)
