A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #19

10:28

Happy Easter everyone!!

It's come to the end of Spring Week here on it's a beauty thing and I hope you've enjoyed it. It's time for a round up of the products I have been loving this week and I have quite a few to show you.

1. Starting off with skin care. I have made my very own tea tree toner for my blemish prone skin and have been spraying it on twice a day and my skin loves it. Applying tea tree oil on it's own can be too harsh for some peoples skin and so diluting it with water still gets the same effects yet it's something you can use all through the day to freshen up your skin or like me, you can just use it morning and night as a quick spritz after my normal toner. I will be putting up my very first DIY post next week to share with you my tea tree toner so keep a look out for that.

2. Onto some makeup things now and the first thing I have been really enjoying using this week is the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base which is an illuminating primer. I apply this before foundation, with my Benefit Porefessional Primer and it's gives a really nice radiant glow to the skin. I had a little issue with it separating when pumping it out and it was more oil that actual product but I've shaken it up and kept it standing up on my dressing table and it seems to be okay now, but I have seen reviews where this happens so I hope it is okay now. But I love this as a base, how it makes my skin look once foundation is over the top, it isn't massively noticeable but it's still there and still helping make my skin look luminous and glowy.

3. The foundation I have been loving this week is the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation I've finally got this in a lighter shade and I have fallen back in love with it again. It's a much fuller coverage than what I was using - the likes of L'Oreal True Match etc. but I have been applying a lighter layer and building up on areas that need more coverage rather than applying a heavy coverage all over my skin. Only thing with this I need to be careful of is to make sure every last speck of it is off my skin, otherwise it tends to block pores and cause me to breakout so I take the bulk off with the Garnier Micellar Water, then use the L'Oreal Cleansing Oil twice to make sure it's all removed, I then go in with my cleanser of choice which is normally the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm. A tad excessive maybe, but it means my skin is 100% clean and I am doing everything I possibly can to make sure it's off and doesn't break me out.

4. Next is the Seventeen Phwoarr Paint which is one I always go back to. This is a "heavy duty" under eye concealer, it has a slight salmony pink tone to it which is dreamt for dark circles but it is also a touch in the yellow side which means it's great for cancelling out redness on blemishes. I have got back into using this again and I don't really know why I stopped but I have used this every day this week.

5. Next is a cream blusher, the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blusher in Soft Pink (excuse the packaging, I dropped it and it broke - this packaging is pants) but I haven't been using this as a blusher - the M.A.C. one is still my favourite and I'm still using it everyday - but I use this cream blush in my lips. It's not massively noticeable but it is a really nice natural pink shade and it just adds a little extra colour. I apply this with my next favourite...

6. Vaseline Rosy Lips has made a come back into my life. I found this little guy in a drawer shoved to the back and I have started using it again and I love it. I still use the Nuxe Rev De Miel but this is brilliant for through the day or whilst doing my makeup. I also use this before and sometimes after I've applied the cream blush to my lips and it keeps them soft and hydrated. Love this simple little combo.

7. Finally is a type of product and that is midi finger rings. They're all kept in this little pot on my dressing table so they're there to slip on once I have done my hair and makeup. There's all different shapes and sizes. Some of my favourites are this rose gold duo - a bow and a tiny band of hearts, also these simple bands which have a faceted effect on them so they're a little bit more compared to just a plain band and I just mix and match with all of these. I am totally obsessed.

8. Finally is a TV series that I have totally obsessed with. I am a horror movie kind of gal. I hate scary things, jumpy films, tense story lines, but strangely I just cannot stop watching scary films and I've been on a bit of a zombie film sesh over the last few months. Which is when the TV show The Walking Dead came into my life, I watched the first 2 series in a week on Netflix and then my best friend Dani gave me the third series to watch on DVD and I am now watching season 4 online which I am totally obsessed with. I am on the hunt for another TV series to watch though as when I'm done with season 4 I won't know what to do, so if you have any suggestions please let me know :)

That's it for my round up this week. Let me know what your favourites are and if you have any horror/thriller TV shows or films then let me know either in the comments or on twitter.
