A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #18

It's weekly round up time again where I go over some of the stand out products over the last 7 days, and this week I have 8 things I want to show you that I have been using everyday and have been loving.

Possibly my favourite thing ever over the last couple of weeks is the M.A.C. Powder Blush in Well Dressed. I am totally obsessed with this thing. It is the most beautiful shade of pink with some shimmer in it which really adds a glow to the skin. It's such a stunning blush and I am planning on getting some more M.A.C. blushers soon.

Next for makeup is the Garnier Skin Miracle Cream and the L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream as I am on the lookout for a BB type base product and these are the two I have been trying out this week. The Garnier Skin Miracle Cream is marketed as anti-aging, but it also smooths out the skin. This is so amazing as when your squeeze it out of the tube, it's white and quite a thick cream, but when you start applying it, it turns a skin tone shade and just adds a tiny bit of coverage but basically just smooths out my skin. I have used this on it's own (where makeup isn't required for a lazy day) and I've also used it under foundation, as it is very hydrating and makes my skin feel so smooth and soft. Other reviews I have seen of this, has all said the long terms benefits it gives are incredible so I am looking forward to seeing some results. The L'Oreal BB Cream is similar in that it's white with tiny black dots in when it comes out the tube and then when worked into the skin it turns a skin tone colour. The level of coverage for both of these is barely anything. But they give a nice glow to the skin and although I need a lot more coverage for blemishes, dark circles and freckles, this is a perfect base. As I'm writing this, I have the L'Oreal BB Cream on with the Bare Minerals Foundation over top for the extra coverage.

This week, I have been totally obsessed with doing a little bit more to my brows, all thanks to the Maybelline Brow Drama. Which basically, is a tinted brow gel, so it adds colour to the brows and sets them in place. Normally, I use a matte brown eye shadow to fill in the spare areas and then go in with this over top and I love how it frames my face and just finishes my makeup look off amazingly.

Last week saw some other eye products and combos, but this week, I have rediscovered my love for bronze eye pencils like the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha, and there is also one from Maxfactor that I really like too. I like to use this either just on it's own, or as a base as the colours are beautiful on their own. I especially like pairing it with the Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow in Smoky Quartz. Some more NYX products will definitely be picked up soon too - I have a list of their blushers that I need to pick up soon.

My nail polish of choice this week has been the Rimmel 60 Seconds Polish in Too Cool To Tango, which is a pale-ish blue, which applies so quick and easy. This lasts really well too and I just love the colour of this.

A candle I have been loving recently is from TU at Sainsburys in the Orchid & Sweet Cocunut which is such a beautiful scent and these candles burn so amazingly. I do actually have the tea light candles of this scent too so my whole room smells beautiful. There are so many more scents that I want to get in my local Sainsburys like pink grapefruit, lavender, fresh cotton and there's a pink blossom one I believe too and I need to get some whilst they're still half price.
