A Feature: What's on my face #6

There's some new makeup products that have come into my possession recently and some rediscoveries so I thought I would feature them in a what's on my face post and give some first impression/mini reviews too.

Base:
Starting off with primer, I have been loving the Benefit Porefessional and I have recently got the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base which I use on the high points of my face as a bit of a highlighter. I then also go in with the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer and not only do I apply this on the lid, I also apply it under the eye where concealer will go, just to provide a base and help it last all day crease-free. Now primer is on, I wanted to try out the new Garnier Miracle Skin Cream, which comes out a white cream but when rubbing into skin, it turns a skin tone like colour. I wanted to try this as the idea of it helping the appearance of skin as well as providing a teeny tiny amount of coverage and being really nourishing, this was just the perfect option, and although the coverage it's no where near enough for my skin, it's perfect for days you don't want to wear makeup but want to even out the skin etc. However I did need something else in terms of covering imperfections, so I went in with the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, I just applied this onto the areas I needed some more coverage. Onto concealer and my favourite for covering my dark circles at the minute is the Benefit Erase Paste to counteract the dark circles, and a mix of the Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Rewind Concealer and the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Pen, which then covers anything left from the Erase Paste and then also to cover anything else, blemishes, redness etc. then I use M.A.C. Studio Finish Concealer for any stubborn blemishes. I also go in with a light dusting of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light under the eyes.

Cheeks:
For cheeks, I have been really loving the M.A.C. Powder Blush in Well Dressed, it is just a beautiful pale pink shade and I just love the look it gives, it has slight shimmer in it but nothing too crazy, and I just love everything about this blush. For highlight, the No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter is a beautiful natural highlight. I also use The Body Shop Honey Bronzer to warm up my complexion slightly, and I also contoured slightly.

Brows:
I have been really getting into doing my brows recently as I have really noticed the difference when I don't do anything to them, and I have been loving the Maybelline Brow Drama in Medium Brown which is basically a mascara for your brows. Not only does it tint the tiny hairs, but it also sets them so they don't get everywhere through the day. I have only had this since Tuesday but I totally love how it makes my brows look. But before I apply this, I use the matte medium brown eyeshadow from the Beauty UK High Brow (any matte shade that matches your brows will do) just to fill in any sparse areas, and to sharpen up any edges, and then I go in and use the Brow Drama

Eyes:
As we already applied the Benefit Primer I'm just going straight in with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha all over the lid and Lower lash line and blended that in with my finger. I go over the jumbo pencil with Sidecar from the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette and went in with Buck to smooth the edges and define the crease a little more. Using Hustle from the same palette, I smudge this along the outer corner of my lower lash line - I wear this on my lower lash line, pretty much everyday - Then using a matte black eyeshadow and an angled brush, I start by applying this between my lashes, so I push the brush into the base of my lashes and wiggle the brush slightly. I notice a huge difference just doing this, and I always make sure I line my upper water line with Avon Super Shock Gel Eyeliner in Black just to get my lashes looking as full as possible without any false eyelashes in sight. A curl of the lashes using the Japonesque Eyelash Curler and a few coats of the Maxfactor Volume Excess Mascara (just step 1, as always) on the upper lashes and then Maybelline Big Eyes (just step 2) on the lower lashes. I love this mascara for my lower lashes, as I have the waterproof formula and this doesn't smudge on me at all.

Lips:
For lips, I have been very into a pinky, nude gloss, but I fancied a matte lip today so I applied the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Elusive and patted it in with my finger to tone it down slightly.

That's the look done today, I hope you liked this kind of post, let me know if you have tried any of these or if you have any post requests or questions etc. Thanks for reading.
