A Feature: Spring Makeup Look

With spring here (in my mind it is) I thought I would do another makeup look for you as it went down pretty well last time.

Starting off with primer, I find this so important and I wear it pretty much everyday, but when the weather gets hotter, a primer is your best friend. The Benefit Porefessional Primer makes skin feel silky smooth and minimises the appearance of pores, and other imperfections, so I apply this to the centre of my face. Then with the Bourjois Luminous Serum Primer I apply this to my cheeks and outside of my face to add a little radiance to the skin. Finally for primer, I go in with the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer on my eyelids and under my eyes to prepare for eyeshadow as well as concealer, it's just the perfect way to stop it from creasing.
Next is foundation, and I love a light weight concealer which still allows my natural skin to come through but gives me enough coverage for any problem areas. One I have been loving recently is the L'Oreal True Match Foundation in N1, the True Match foundations have an incredible shade range. Next step is to battle the dark circles created from many months of sleepless nights so a corrector is first on the list and the Benefit Erase Paste in 01 Brightening has been a perfect candidate, and I follow this with the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer which brightens and conceals slightly too.

My cheek duo recently is the Topshop Cream Blush in Afternoon Tea and the Topshop Glow in Polished which are perfect for spring as the blush adds a radiance to the cheeks and is a beautiful shade which brightens up my complexion - much needed for those dull and cold spring mornings.

As for eyes, I like to keep it pretty simple. The reason? I'm just far too lazy. I start by using The Body Shop Honey Bronzer and applying that in the crease of my eye, and then with the Avon Super Shock Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Black I slightly smudge this along the top lash line and also the top waterline too. Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Bronze is the perfect product to smudge on the lower lash line without being too harsh. The Maxfactor Excess Volume step 1 and the Maybelline Big Eyes step 2 is the perfect lash duo. Whilst the Maxfactor offering is perfect for my top lashes, Maybellines Bottom Lashes does something to my lower lashes that nothing has ever done before. It is just beautiful.

Finally for lips, my favourite pink lip product at the minute is the L'Oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Rose Symphony - it has shine, it's moisturising, smells heavenly and is pigmented enough that it's the only thing needed.
