A Beauty Chat: A Touch Of Pink

Up until a few months ago, my makeup and nail polish collection were pink free - apart from the odd blusher from Rimmel that was a dusty rose shade - there was no sign of pink at all. Everyone knew not to buy me anything pink, it just wasn't my colour, clothes, makeup, nails I just didn't think they worked for me. But recently my collection has had a lot of pink added to it and I've felt more confident/daring to sport pink flushed cheeks. From bright fuchsias to pale pinks. It's crazy, but I just can't get enough, I am really loving the bright pinks as a blush and then matching that with a pink lip. So I thought I would show you some of the pink makeup items and nail polishes that I have been totally obsessed with.

Barry M - Fuschia - Pink Flamingo - Shocking Pink // Mavala - Rose Shell // Essie - Super Bossa Nova //

I love the Barry M nail paints, they're an amazing formula, a huge selection of shades, textures and effects and at under £4 per polish, they're so affordable. These are by far, my favourite nail polish ever. The Mavala polish is the only pale pink shade that I have and is in my eyes the perfect colour. Nothing else compares, and the nail polish itself is a brilliant formula. The Essie offering is a beautiful and unique shade, the bright pink is incredible on its own, but there is purple-y pink shimmer running through it which just makes it even more amazing.

I have been loving the bright pink cheeks and these have been the ones I have been using. The MUA Powder Blush comes in at a whopping £1... I know right? But they're amazing and I am keen to try their cream blush offerings. The Bourjous Little Round Pot Blushers have been around for a very long time and last year, when they introduced the cream blushers they were just flying off the shelves. The good thing about all the blushers above is that the pigmentation of each one is phenomenal and they're all such amazing value for money. With cream blushes from Maxfactor and Topshop to powder formulas from the likes of Sleek and M.A.C. I just cannot get enough of the bright pink cheeks. Who would have thought I would be wearing bright pink.

To go with the pink blushers, I have been reaching for the pink lip options a lot. The Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector is a fairly new discovery but I love the application, the shades are very pretty and the formula is fantastic, I see why there is so much hype for them. The new L'Oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Rose Symphony is such a pretty shade of pink, and I love the applicators of these and they have some stunning shades, neutral nudes to bright pinks, fuchsias and reds, amazing. (See review here).

So there's a little look into the pink products I have been reaching for a lot recently and with Spring so close I can almost smell it, I am definitely ready for the season that brings alive lots of new and beautiful things, so please hurry up. Winter is just so yesterday.

What have you been reaching for in preparation to Springs arrival?
