A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #8

Over the last 7 days I have had a few new products appear and a few rediscoveries so I thought I would share them with you.

First with the new products, the Clarins instant Smooth Perfecting Touch has been the perfect primer for my troublesome skin. It really helps smooth out fine lines, even skin and really helps makeup stick to your skin and stay put. I've also been using the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm around my cheeks and on my forehead to add a natural radiance to the skin. I have really been loving both of these, and I know I had a primer duo in last weeks round up which I still use on occasion, I just have been really impressed with this Clarins duo.

Another product that made its way in to my stash is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused light. This has been incredibly hyped up and loved and with good reason. This really helps to illuminate the skin, blur out imperfections and looks absolutely gorgeous whether it's used all over the face or as a highlight.

The Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat has been a permanent fixture in my makeup routine. The pinky, salmon undertones really help to bright e and highlight. I use this under my eyes and around my nose. I love this stuff.

A rediscovered product is the Seventeen Phwoar Paint Under Eye Concealer in Fair, this is a heavy duty concealer, and although it's specifically for under eyes, it works on blemishes beautifully. I have been using the Real Techniques Contour Brush to apply this under my eyes and the Detail Brush on blemishes and I love the finish it gives and it lasts all day.

Tea Tree Oil is always something I make sure I have in my stash but it's been neglected whilst trying other products. But as soon as I applied this to the last major blemish I have, it has really helped take the swelling down and reduce the size of the spot drastically. Although I hate the smell of tea tree oil, it's definitely worth it if it reduces breakouts in a few hours.

Finally as you'll see in the photo, this a new purchase for myself and Dani, our Date Night Fund, Pot of Dreams. There's already some monies in there. We just don't like the idea of having to smash it open. But we are still deciding on whether it will go to a night out, be the money for some date night treats or whether we will just keep saving until it's full then go shopping. The fact it can fit over £1000 worth of pound coins makes us very happy.
