A Favourite: January Favourites

22:59

There's been quite a few products that have really amazed me over the last month so let's just get into the first monthly favourites of 2014

I went over the Weekly Round Up posts from January to see what products have really stood out, so some of these would have been in posts before because I just love them that much, and some may not have been mentioned as often or if at all.

Skincare:

Starting with my favourite subject, skincare. The product that has really stood out to me is the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, I got this as I was looking for a refreshing and lightweight cleanser for the mornings. Although this has gel in the name, it is more like a balm and once emulsified it's more of a milk. It is still refreshing and not heavy on the skin and I really like how smooth and soft it leaves my face. I have tried this out as an evening cleanser too and it melts away any traces of makeup and leaves skin feeling clean and nourished, so a good all rounder if you don't want separate morning and evening cleansers.

Another item that has made an appearance in my skincare routine is the Pai Rosehip Oil. I had seen a lot of beauty bloggers say some very good things about this and for £20 it was definitely worth picking up, and I am surprised with just how amazing it is. Although the scent is - shall we say - nothing like roses, it is bearable and the product it's self is outstanding. With breakouts and dark spots gracing my skin over the last couple of months, this has made a huge improvement. I use this pretty much every night on top of my moisturiser for an extra hydration boost.

Body Care:
Moving onto body care, there's only one product that has been a staple and has amazed me over the last 4 weeks and that is the Garnier Beauty Body Oil this has been the only thing I have used after getting out of the bath and it has made a huge difference to the texture, look and feel of my skin. I normally apply a few pumps onto each leg and arms and some on my chest and my skin feels hydrated and moisturised for hours after I have applied this. I didn't think I would get on with a body oil but I have been pleasantly surprised and the scent isn't too OTT.

Makeup:

This is the primer duo I have been loving this month, including Benefit The Porefessional and Seventeen Skin WOW 3 Way Highlighter. Whilst Benefit's offering concentrates on pores and really helps smooth the texture of problematic skin, Seventeen's option has enough radiance to be natural but is good at providing a brilliant base for makeup. I have got an order in for some other base/primer/prep hybrid on its way so that could be the favourite next month.

Yves Saint Laurent Youth Liberator Foundation has been my go to over the last month. I love everything about it, the finish, texture, shade, lasting power, packaging, everything. This really has blown me away with its performance and I am definitely on the band wagon for this and I'm staying put. Although it is on the pricier side of high end makeup, I definitely recommend you give this a go, even if you get a sample of it and try it for a few days, it's just incredible and you'll fall in love with it straight away.

Hair:
Next is the L'Oreal Mythic Oil, this was in my Hair Top Picks #6 Part 1 post but this has been an incredible thing for my hair and it has never been so soft. I apply 2 pumps of this on wet hair, and a pump everyday after styling. It makes my hair feel soft, look shiny, tames frizz and is very lightweight and doesn't leave hair looking greasy. This is everything I want in a hair product and I am so impressed with L'Oreal's products recently I am very keen to try more from their ranges.

Finally for my favourites is the Tresemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo I have been really impressed with this and this is my second tin of the stuff. It really helps with any oil, whilst refreshing and volumising at the same time. It has a pleasant smell and once applied it lasts all day, no carrying it around in case a quick spritz is needed. Definitely recommend this to anyone who's hair needs an instant spray of all things refreshing and volumising.

That's it for this months favourites. Let me know what you have been loving this month.

What are your favourites from January?
