A Beauty Chat - Gift Guide #1 - For Her

Following my Christmas Shopping Inspiration post I thought I would do a small gift guide.

Let's start with the beauty products.

1.  First up is this Dream Team set from This Works. I have tried the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, and I don't know if it was because I hadn't slept in a few nights or if it was down to this but it is a beautiful stocking filler, or if you are doing Secret Santa then this is something that everyone can use. I got this for £10 from Space NK. I haven't used the Deep Sleep Stress Less roll on yet but I am hoping I will be getting a few hours of beauty sleep (I need as much as I can get).

2. A Christmas candle next. This is the place which has my favourite candle ever, Madagascan Vanilla. The TU brand at Sainsbury's is just brilliant, this is Christmas Spice, but I just love how they burn, how they fill the room with the fragrance and once finished, if you take out the left over wax and use it to hold makeup brushes, pens and pencils, all sorts. All about the recycling in the ATB household.

3. The Body Shop have some beautiful Christmas Scents out, Ginger Sparkle, Cranberry Joy and Vanilla Bliss, and as always they have some beautiful gift sets this year as well. Gingerbread man tins filled with all sorts of little treasures. If you need something that is affordable and that you know people will like and get lot's of use out of then hand washs and lotions are the perfect gift. Think about it, people wash their hands numerous times a day, get one that looks pretty on the sink and that smells amazing and you have just bought something they will use everyday.

Note. If you don't think that what is in the gift set is suitable, maybe a few items they won't use, then why not take full advantage of any 3 for 2's or other offers to make your own set, including things that you know they will use and love, and it adds a personal touch too. You can go for Soap & Glory, The Body Shop, Sanctuary. There are so many options so get started.

4. Palettes are something that will have something for everyone, and whther you go for a face, cheek, eye or lip palette, you can get a lot of use out of them. These ones from Blank Canvas Cosmetics are not only affordable but have a lot of options, not only in just these palettes but in the alternative options that they have available on the BCC website. From Urban Decay these Naked 1 & 2 palettes can be found for a reasonably good price online and are fantastic quality which can create any look either on their own, or used with another palette/eyeshadow/base. Theres also a really good quality Urban Decay brush included which is always a bonus.

5. Grab this Season 1-3 box set of the infamous Breaking Bad Series for only £19.99 from HMV

6. Finally for the under £20 category has to be nail polish. Whether you chose a selection of polishes yourself and give them as a gift together something from Barry M, Revlon or Sinful Colors, or a stocking filling seperately, or you can buy the already selected gift sets from the likes of Essie, Mavala, O.P.I.

7. These fabulous boot slippers from Boots are perfectly supportive and slip-free. Fur lined for extra comfort, my goodness these keep your feet nice and toasty. For only £16, these things

8. Christmas just wouldn't be complete without a Soap & Glory treat. These lip gloss sticks and lipsticks are perfect for all those lipstick lovers out there. These particular ones are the "your lips but better" colours or the darker mauve/berry colour which is perfect for this season. Soap & Glory have lot's of makeup sets as well as bath and body gifts, I like to put together my own gift sets and include things I know people will like or that I know what be okay for them. But with the 3 for 2 offer in Boots you can get a selection of things for a few friends and mix and match.

Over £20

9. Next is something on the higher price range, from Aromatherapy Associates their Mini Shower & Bath Oil Set, coming in at £32, this can be given as a gift on it's own or you can split it up and give them to a few people as part of their gifts.

10. After all the mulled wine, mince pies and Heroes, everyone is going to need some kind of skincare miracle this Christmas, let alone for the New Year celebrations. A face mask is the perfect option and this one from Origins is going to be somebody's life saver this festive season. Coming in at £22.00 the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask is a skincare essential this winter. There are a lot of gifts that are available from the Origins website (check out here) from the Mask Marvels to the Limited Edition Warm Up Candle

Note. If you feel like you won't to add a little something to your gift but not sure how, then create your own "Survival Kit" / "Care Package" Something to show how much you care this holidays. Maybe some pain killers, lip balm, face mask, sunglasses, some dry shampoo and a few other things that could be an essential after all the christmas and new year celebrations.

I hope this has helped give some ideas to those of you who are struggling to find things for your loved ones this year.

What are you hoping for from Santa this Christmas?
