The Best For... Fighting Spots

I got a bit too comfortable with my skincare and was rewarded with a series of rather nasty, angry breakouts, add stress and not drinking enough water to the mix and well, let's just say my skin was certainly not impressed - and wanted me to know it.
So I went back to basics.

With some fabulous spot fighting ass kickers and some extra moisture, my skin has finally shown improvement and the last breakouts are dispersing.
So I thought I'd share with you my go to products when times like this catch me off guard.
First action was to start the Liquid Gold every other night regime. It's safe to say I had abandoned this routine for a while and I have learnt my lesson.
Next step was to re-order the Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Toner, I had ran out and decided to try the Botanics All Bright Toner, but after the spots decided to be incredibly stubborn, my only option was to put in the inevitable order, only had to wait a few day for delivery and I noticed a difference almost straight away.
In the meantime, I made sure I removed all my makeup thoroughly (which I always do anyway) and really cleansed my skin, spending more time than usual to make sure that my skin was clean, I used very calming, gentle cleansers, and I switched in the morning between the Superfacialist Rose Cleanser and the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, a trusted favourite that is gentle and soothing on the skin. Of course my Emma Hardie cleansing balm is still something I use religiously every evening.
With nights that aren't a liquid gold night I needed to inject some moisture, starting off with La Roche-Posay's Effaclar Duo, for a bit of spot treating, and after serum, comes moisturiser, and something I have really been loving is Origns High Potency Night-A-Mins moisturiser. This is a thick, rich, hydrating moisturiser which on top of Hydraluron, my skin just drinks it up so quickly. Speaking of drinking it up, the final step, Origins Drink Up intensive Overnight mask. Another amazing product, which always makes my skin look and feel more... Plump and healthy. For a little summin summin on the areas where those monstrous things graced my face there's just two words........... Argan Oil. Not only do these hydrating products help with breakouts but also helps the dry skin that is starting to appear more frequently thanks to something called Autumn. After a little trial and error these things are my emergency breakout fighting team, yes they are in my normal routine, but if I have to take it back to basics again in the future, these will be what I will be reaching for first time around.
