Lost Weight?

Having a lot of hair isn't necessarily a good thing, especially if you have a lot of limp and lifeless hair.
My hair just lacks life, so finding products that promise to lift, thicken and add volume to my hair, I am all for. Scanning the shelves of the hair styling aisle was full of false hopes and wishful thinking but I thought I would test out some products and see if anything could tackle my lifeless locks.
First thing I tried was one of John Freida's offerings in hope to challenge my terrible tresses, from the luxurious volume range the Volume Refresh Dry Shampoo, I have always been a Batiste kind of girl, but the white cast was just not a good look and everyone loves a 2 in 1 - grease controller and volumiser. This is by far the best dry shampoo I have tried from the drugstore. With no white cast, no sticky feeling and leaving a refreshed head of hair John Freida has really lifted my spirits - especially with this next product from the luxurious volume line, their Blow Dry Lotion Root Booster. The words luxurious, volume and booster are all words that I want to see on my hair products and this one certainly lives up. After washing my hair I spray this over my hair concentrating on the roots (but don't apply too much other wise you're going to look like a grease monkey). I have always been a fan of the Aussie range, from 3 minute miracles to a heat protectant, this range used to be all I would use but my hair got used to it and I didn't see the results I once saw. But this blow dry lotion is something I will continue to expect great things from.

Going back to dry shampoo, I also picked up the Trevor Sorbie Styling Dry Shampoo. Similar to the Batiste dry shampoo this leaves a white cast on the hair if it is concentrated in a particular area or if too much is applied, but once you know how much to use it works reasonably well. This refreshes the hair and smells pretty good but I don't think I will be buying this again but I will use it up.

V05 is a well known, company that has constantly got new things coming out and is a very affordable and inexpensive range. First is Give me Texture Dry Texturising Spray. This does what it says on the tin, not particularly for volume but it does help. It smells good and is easy to apply, with sea salt in it to give a tousled look this doesn't leave hair feeling crunchy or dirty it is just a light spray with no extreme results. I also picked up the Smoothly Does It Tame & Shine Spray. I like my hair to look healthy and shiny and a shine spray is an obvious thing to use to get the desired look. Again there is no extreme result using this, but it does give a subtle shine to the hair without making it look greasy.

Shine spray is something that I cannot live without now and it is all after trying this product, I think I will repurchase this again and again. From Lee Stafford Shine Head Spray Shine, this has been something I use most days. It gives a healthy, subtle shine to my hair without making it look oily.

Last but not least is something from Bumble & Bumble, their Thickening Creme Contour. This can be used in the ends of the hair but I also like to use this in the roots just to add a bit more lift to my flat hair. This smells like apples to me and is a thick balm type product, you don't need a huge amount of it to add some texture to your hair, but I absolutely love this product, and I'm keen to pick some other B&B products.
