A Beauty Essential - Putting Beauty To The Test #4 Toners
21:08
1. First if all is the Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Brightening
Toner, I have spoke about this in my skincare routine and a separate
review will be coming up on this but this is a fantastic toner. Doing numerous
things this one product that is “just a swipe over the face with a cotton pad”
has cured a lot of people’s imperfections, including mine. With constant
breakouts due to poor treatment of my skin, I have had a few pointless, under
the skin, no reason to be there kind of spots that have been lingering around
for quite a while and I noticed that once I had started using this, the spots
started to disperse and disappear. That is down to using some other products as
well as this I think, but once I started using this it’s like my skincare got a
kick up the butt and started to sort these irritating no need to be there
spots.
2. Next up is the toner that I use
after I have applied my Clarins exfoliating toner which is the Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Toner. The reason I use this as part of a
two step toner is because this is a very calming and (as the name suggests)
soothing toner, and I use this either on a cotton pad or mainly in a little
spritz bottle that you can buy from Boots or Superdrug. It really does calm the skin and
injects some nourishment which is brilliant after using something
like an exfoliating toner. Not only does this have benefits if used with
something, it is also very good on its own as well. If you have very sensitive
skin it won’t irritate and if you have acne prone or oily skin and are using
products to fight that then using a toner like this that is calming will help
to balance the skins PH and calm your skin down. And it’s also very affordable just like the rest of
the Simple products.
3. Now, Garnier are one of those
companies we’re always hearing about, whether they’re bringing out new products
or whether they’re products are on offer in drugstores and supermarkets. Either
way Garnier is another company that I can trust won’t irritate my skin - most
of the time. The simply essentials line is also brilliant if you have sensitive
skin. A lot of toners have alcohol in which dries out the skin and if you have
oily skin using something that is drying Will NOT help. I used the Garnier Simply Essentials Toner when I was using spot fighting products and
before this toner my skin would feel so tight and irritated. But after applying
this, my face felt instantly soothed and calmed. This is another toner similar
to the Simple one and I just think these two are just brilliant. This particular
toner has no perfume, no alcohol and no colorants and is vitamin-enriched which
is really going to benefit your skin. So if you are using tonnes of Salicylic
Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide then you need to go and pick up one of these
4. Last but not least we have the Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green
Algae Antibacterial Toner, this has been included quite a lot recently
as this is a product I use twice a day every day (other than when I’m using the
Clarins one of course) and this toner is by far the best one I have ever tried.
This is another product that really helped with the breakouts as it is an
antibacterial product. Being a Michael Todd product this has none of the crap
in it like some other toners and it also has a dose of Hyaluronic Acid which
locks in moisture and also prepares the skin for serums and moisturiser and aid
them to work a lot better. This really is an amazing toner and even though I do
want to try other toners that are similar, I think this one is always going to
be in my skincare stash.
They do have other toners in the
True Organics Line so if this one isn’t what you are looking for then take a look at the website to see
what else MT have available.
I really hope this has been
helpful and interesting for you. Skincare, as you can probably tell is a
subject that I absolutely love, and I am always trying out new products and
giving reviews so if anyone has a product they want me to review or talk about
then please let me know, but otherwise, that’s another beauty essential post
done.
