A Beauty Chat - Everyday Makeup Routine

19:00

I have finally found some makeup that I really enjoy using and really like the look it gives and I use it on a daily basis - I like to swap and change the products I use but this is the group of products I have been using the most.

Complexion:
First up is the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Ivory, I love the finish and coverage of this foundation and so far it is my most favourite ever. I use a Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush to apply this as it blends it in to the skin nicely.
For me, highlighter is part of the base makeup and should be very natural and blended in to the skin to give a seamless effect - this is just my personal opinion and I use the Miners Beauty Brilliance Multipurpose highlighter Stick in Dream. I love this highlighter, including the packaging and the natural radiance it gives my skin.
Concealer is next and I have recently been using the Maybelline Instant Eye Eraser in Light. I wasn't sure about the applicator so I was put off using it but actually once you get past the sponge applicator the product is very good and covers any blue or purple tones that I have around my eye and any redness around my nose. I also use the MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC15, this is a very good concealer as it covers anything I need it to - breakouts, redness, scars - all I do is use my ring finger to tap it onto the skin and blend it out.
I then like to set my concealer and for that I use the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot powder and to add some more radiance to the rest of my skin I sometimes apply the Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder which I love the smell of, it just reminds me of the makeup my Nan used to wear.

Cheeks:
I like to use the Bourjois Bronzing Powder on an angled brush and apply it to lightly contour my cheeks, on the temples and under the jawline. I like to keep my cheeks looking very simple and natural so I use the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Cream Blush in Soft Pink. This gives a nice rosy flush to the cheeks and is very easy to blend.

Brows:
I still like to fill in my eye brows even though my fringe covers them so to fill them in I use the Lioele Brow Pencil in Medium and to keep them in place I use the Revlon Clear Brow Gel.

Eyes:
For the eyes I like to keep it very simple so I apply the Maybelline 24 hour Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze with my ring finger all over the lid, and use a fluffy blending brush (like a Mac 217 brush) to soften the edges. I then apply Bourjois Brown Eyeliner to the top and bottom waterline and along the outer corner of the top lash line to create some depth to the lashes and add a slightly smokey effect and use an angled Eco Tools brush to smudge it out slightly.
Next I curl my eyelashes and then apply just one coat of Maybelline One by One Waterproof Mascara, which helps to keep the eyelashes curled and I don't like to have very heavy mascara as it feels uncomfortable through out the day.

Lips:
Depending on what I am wearing depends on the lip colour but I normally go for something like Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie or Sorbet or L'Oreal Colour Caresse Lipstick in Tempting Lilac, I also like the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Honey or Lovesick. I have also been loving the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush in The Redder The Better I am very keen to try some of the other colours as the lasting power on these is incredible.

I am pretty sure that this makeup routine will continue to change but for now I have really enjoyed using these products and have had lot's of compliments on my skin and my makeup look.

What are your favourite products to use on a daily basis? Have you tried any of these products?
