A Beauty Essential - Putting Beauty To The Test #2 Cleansers Part 2

19:13

Part 2 includes the cleansing oils and balms that I have been trying out. Along with hot cloth cleansers these are my favourite types of products to use. With all of these cleansers, I use a hot muslin cloth or flannel to remove it, leaving my face feeling clean and refreshed.

So let's get cracking...

Botanics Cleansing Balm:
This 97% Organic cleansing balm leaves skin smooth and clean, with its blend of Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Rosehip. This was the first Cleansing balm I purchased and it’s so affordable. I love the texture and you barely need any product, like other cleansing balms it lasts a while. The beautiful velvety formula lifts off makeup while the buffing action of the muslin or face cloth unclogs pore and reveals beautifully radiant skin. A bonus is that this product is not tested on animals and is paraben free all for just £8.99.
REN Purity No1 cleansing balm:
This rose infused silky cleansing balm purifies and calms, leaving beautiful and glowing skin. Turning into a creamy milk it melts away dirt and makeup, even that pesky waterproof mascara. Using a muslin cloth (when hot and damp) to remove the makeup and dirt will gently exfoliate as well as thoroughly clean your skin. The texture of this product is absolutely beautiful and will leave you ready to jump into pj’s with a hot water bottle and a cup of herbal tea. While the packaging is a bit of a pain, the smell is very spa-like and the consistency of this balm is in my eyes fantastic.
Available from cultbeauty.co.uk for £23.00.

L’Oreal Skin Perfection 15 second miracle cleansing oil:
This sleek and smooth oil breaks down even waterproof makeup in one swoop – maybe two - gently softening and nourishing skin without leaving any residue or stinging eyes. For all skin types this is truly an amazing oil and probably my favourite out of the two I have tried so far. It doesn’t have a strong fragrance and leaves skin feeling so soft and smooth, as well as calming my skin down if I have had a long, busy day and rebalancing my skin’s natural oils to keep skin looking healthy. At around £7.99 this is totally worth it.
The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil:
This velvety soft cleansing oil removes makeup effectively, leaving the skin clean and rejuvenated. Although the scent isn’t the nicest, its effortless removal of makeup saves a tonne of time in the evening so you can get on with relaxing. At £10.00 for a 200ml bottle of this, it is a really good price, and you only use 2-3 pumps of this every night - you won’t be running out of this any time soon. But keep it stored standing up and make sure the pump is twisted round to closed otherwise you'll end up with cleansing oil all over the place - speaking from experience.
